There is no doubting that the gaming industry is flourishing at present around the world. Lockdowns enforced around the world have certainly helped with this, with people spending extending periods of time within their own homes and online entertainment becoming more important than ever.

Xbox has long been one of the most popular consumer brands and currently sits as the 27^th most popular, based on statistics provided by YouGov. They long remain at the heart of the gaming industry but currently appear to be being outpaced with their Xbox series x by the PS5. This gives an example of just how competitive it is at present, with the continued release of technology and innovative gaming products hitting the market.

There are now so many different areas of the gaming industry, which have been part of this rise. From the previously mentioned console gaming, to PC and mobile gaming and other areas such as the online casino market. The latter has also been part of the rise and has continued to look at new pays in order to take this market to the next level. 2020 is expected to see the 2.7 billion gamers world-wide spent in excess of $159 billion. That is also a figure that is expected to rise to over $200 billion by 2023 and then continue this accelerated growth for years to come. It gives a stark reality of just how successful the gaming industry is, as it remains one of the fastest growing industries at present. A large percentage of this growth has been due to mobile gaming, which has also completely changed the usual demographic of a gamer. But it still appears to be a positive year ahead for console gaming, which projected figures that it will rise by around 6.8% year on year to a figure of $45.2 billion, with around 730 million players. Let’s hope that Xbox can continue to see great success moving forward."
