Grand Theft Auto V is the second best selling video game of all time. More than 135 million units have been sold since it first hit shelves back in October 2013. The game is now more than seven years old, and has remained popular thanks to the constant flow of major updates for GTA Online released by Rockstar Games.

GTA VI is expected to be released on the Xbox Series X and S sometime in the next few years
The company upset gamers last summer by announcing that a remastered version of the game would be released for the Xbox Series S and X in 2021, rather than an entirely new game that most are dubbing Grand Theft Auto VI.
Fans are going to be waiting a couple more years to get their hands on the game, meaning a decade and two console generations may have passed between GTA titles.
With such a long wait, gamers are hoping that Rockstar pulls something really special out of the bag when they finally do get round to gifting us another Grand Theft Auto title. While it is widely believed the game is in production, almost nothing is known about it. So in the absence of information, many fans have begun creating ambitious wishlists for what they want from the next installment.
While some of these wish list items are a little absurd, they would make GTA VI an incredible game. Here are some of the best features we’d like to see:
A Return to GTA IV Physics and AnimationsFor some reason, Rockstar went backwards when they created the GTA V physics. You’ll find countless videos online of comparisons between GTA IV and V, with the former having better ways of handling tires being shot, car crashes, and more.
At the time, people complained about how over the top some of the ragdoll effects were, but having spent seven years playing GTA V, many are wishing for a return to what we saw in GTA IV.
A Better Casino
San Andreas was the first GTA title to have casino games. It was then noticeably missing from GTA IV and still wasn’t introduced to the latest title until a major update in 2019. In many respects, the Diamond Casino & Resort is a great addition to Grand Theft Auto Online. Not only does it introduce a glitzy casino environment, but it also offers a gritty heist mission where you have to knock it off. The graphics are great and the selection of games is pretty decent, but the venue is missing one crucial feature: poker.
Sure, the Diamond Casino offers three card poker, but this is a table game more akin to blackjack
than Texas hold’ em, considered by many the world’s most popular variant of poker. The critical difference is that hold ‘em would be played against other players, while three card poker is played against the house. We know it’s possible. Red Dead Online already has a poker feature where you compete against other players.
More Focus on Single-Player
GTA Online was the clear focus for Rockstar. They saw the giant cash cow that a constantly-evolving online open world could be, and they built GTA V to push people towards the online mode.
While GTA Online is great, it is a long way from the original premise of the series. More single-player missions and a deeper story would make a better game.

The latest Xbox consoles are much more powerful than the hardware GTA V was originally designed for
Multiple Cities
The Xbox Series S and X are a significant step up from the Xbox 360, which was the console that GTA V was originally built for. That means Rockstar has much more power and resources available to it in this 9th generation of gaming machines. Creating a game with multiple cities instead of just one seems feasible.
San Andreas did it well, but a game where you have to fly between different countries would be a cool feature. Some rumors are suggesting that this may be on the cards, but it’s by no means confirmed that Rockstar is working on this. Regardless, multiple cities would make the single-player mode much more interesting, with lots of opportunities to create a deeper and more engaging story.
A Single Protagonist
GTA V made a big change to the storyline mode by introducing three playable characters instead of one. Some fans praised this feature as giving us more perspectives on the story, but it made it harder to build an attachment to the characters you play.
In San Andreas, we get to see CJ as a well-meaning person who has been born into difficult circumstances. In Vice City, we saw Tommy fight hard against dark forces trying to take advantage of him, and in GTA IV, we saw Niko try to escape from his violent past and create a new life for himself. In contrast, GTA V’s Trevor was funny, but there’s only so many times you can laugh at your character waking up on a beach dressed in a tutu before it begins to get tiring. In addition, the constant switching means we see less of each character, and can’t get behind any of them. A return to a single protagonist may be a blessing for GTA VI."
