Hi all,
Following on from several posts on the forum in regards to "which media should I use for my xxxxxx DVD drive", I have composed this little tutorial to help.
The table is similar to that of DJB's, found in the AID manual and the DVD images are curtousy of www.xbox-linux.org.
KEY:
GREEN: Compatible with most types of media.
ORANGE: Compatible with some types of media.
RED: Incompatible with most types of media.
To identify your drive, the images below will help. In order from left to right:
Thomson, Philips, Samsung
  
You'll see the table composes both modded and unmodded versions of the drives. This is because it is possible to "tweak" the DVD drive so that it can read a wider variety of media. For more information on "tweaking" drives, please post in the forums.
Hope this helps and solves a few problems.
