Having a seven year old child and an XBOX at times doesn't mesh too well. Most games that have been developed for the XBOX have been geared toward teens/adults. However, with the growning number of adults who are starting to game you would think that XBOX would want to cash in on their children. I thought that Shrek would end up fitting the bill nicely for my child. The graphics were fine for this type of game and the controls very easy to master. The only difficulty in the controls is the triple jump. Even I had a hard time reaching certain heights with it. It turned out to be too hard for my child, and I would suggest this game for the ages of 10 and up. It's just too tough for younger kids.
The object of the game is simple. Use Shrek's speed, strength, and flatulence to make it though all the levels. If it's one thing this game does have...is levels, and lots of them. If you are looking for a game for your 10 or over child and don't have a problem with a farting ogre, then give it a try. However, if your child is younger or just plain inexperienced in gaming, then possibly Taz Wanted is a better buy.
