Ive been trying to get my box softmodded for a while now, i have action replay, original splinter cell, and 2 extracted files from my flash fxp program and mirc. and i have them on my hard drive but when i load the linux profile on splinter cell the ms dash does not come up. All that happens is my screen goes black and in tutorials it says it will go black for maybe 10 sec but mine just stays black and i dont know what to do so please help me all that u can.

What softmod are you installing??
I would suggest using DJB's Softmod Installer Deluxe in conjunction with the Auto Installer Deluxe.. http://www.aid.xbox-hq.com
There are many tutorials on HQ to help too.. so go check out some of these:

yeah, there was a sid2.0 that did that right about the the same time as it was updated, Try downloading sid3, you should have more luck.

i tried sid3 and i got the same problem after i click checkpoints my screen goes black and the blue linux screen doesnt come up

I've seen a lot of problems with Splinter Cell. Not sure if it is because of the two files required or what, but it seems to always be a problem with SC save games. If you can, try renting an old original copy of MechAssault and give that one a try. I've had really good luck with it.

Here's something you can try, go to the dashbaord, and highlight the splinter cell save games, and delete the whole game, not just the individual files, then try to recopy them over, it seems as if you may have some DLC or maybe the files didn't copy from the pc to the AR correctly. _________________

i am experiencing exactly the same problem...
and i also use SID3 action replay and splinter cell
