hi,,,
guys.... i got this little problem of finding where is the media files located in the xbox1 500gig hdd..
heres my situation,,
got here an xbox unchipped but got a 500gig hdd.. and i nid some media files from it...
since i dunno the the password to the utilities.. i snag out the 500gig hdd, pop it in the chipped xbox put the aid 4.51 in the dvd and powered it on..
in the aid utilities go in the file browser all the drive is there from d to x but no c:/
in drives, ive been looking for the media file of about 250gig in size, i cant seems to find it...
i can only find a few saved games in the drive e and f which i find also strange because it is only few compared to the playable games in console..
while browsing the drives i found a few config.xml and took a copy of one then i converted it into a txt file then... theres a line ----

088) WOOK KI LEE (APR 1997)

089) YESHMAGAMBETOV (MAR 2003)

so im guessing theres a hidden c:/ drive somewhere right?
so the big question is where or how can i find it to access it.. my first guess was its hidden away in one of the saved games files (guess was wrong cant find it also there)
thanks and best wishes..
hope someone here has knowledge to share on how can solve my dilemma

Hello joan,
Strange...an hdd that size should have c:, d:, e:, f:, and g:
Is the hdd softmodded?
My guess is perhaps you are seeing a virtual drive....like a ghost drive.
In AID, there is an option to unmount the virtual partition. Try that and maybe the other partitions will appear. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

hi,,,
box is unchipped (so i guess its softmodded...)
ohh, i guess u were right, there must be a virtual drive in here somewhere, but why is it not detected by flash fxtp? if indeed there is, will i not corrupt or damage any of it upon unmounting? (this is not mine so i have to return it the same way i borrowed it.) and im guessing about 250 to 300 gig were hidden and also, im guessing that the media file is embedded inside a game save since i figure that its the only way that the movies and other media is pausing when the controller is unplugged and resumes when the controller is plugged right back in.. again i guess it be also very hard to look for it eventhough i unmount it, ill have to look into the saved games one by one since fxtp dont display the relative size of the files...
ill try that today ill keep you posted when i find it...
again thanks dangermouse......

hi ,,,
i found it !!!!
"F:\asskicker\F\games\COUNTER STRIKE (1.56GB)\Media\Videos\movies\boxing\pacquiao vs diaz (2008)"
its embedded inside a game!
some of the missing files are embedded in the other games,, why is it able to play and or seen in the menu of the xbox xbmc main skin,,
is there any tutorials in editing the config.xml so one can manipulate how an xbox behaves?
thanks...

I never seen that before, but if you look at the path, f: drive is listed twice. I makes me think that it is being associated through xbmc when saving files. I might have something to do with the virtual drive, and that is why the f: directory is listed twice and other files are in other directories.
I would have thought the virtual would have a drive letter to itself, like Q:

hello....
i was wondering if someone here has any idea if a chipped xbox1 would be launching dashboard without any drive c
i just bought an xbox1 it is all ok, everything is workin fine but when i tried to add some files i noticed in the ftp that there is no c: drive only d e f g x y z
and i double checked the monitor auto installer deluxe can detect c but it has zero space indicated i tried hexen and slayers it also has the same i also tried other bios because it might be causing not to read drive c: still no luck...
thanks and best wishes...

The missing C drive is something totaly seperate from a virtual/shadow C. No matter what the shadow drive should show up, this is what causes massive headaches for softmodders doing HDD upgrades. You can try using the backup/restore feature in AID to make a C drive backup. If there is one hidden it should be able to find it,and once backed up give you acces to it mind you Ive only had limited succes using it or Krazies drive tools. Also media/large files never should be stored on C. That should be mod/dash files only, unless you happen to have been stuck with some backwater mod. Doesnt matter where files are, inside game folders etc, as long as the XBOX knows the path it can access them which is the most likely reason why those files still worked.
This sounds like one of the early Ndure softmods that actualy moves everything to E drive. If this was my XBOX Id get a copy of the eeprom put it in SID5 Pimped V2 put the HDD in a PC unlock, rebuild and lock.

What it would do is rebuild the drive and remod it so its setup properly. It has nothing to do with seeing the current c drive but rather fixing what sounds to be a mickey mouse mod.

hi again....
but i cannot mess with it i just want to see the c drive and possibly edit it or the xbe file, its rather quite a big drive 500 gig and the files will not work like the stored games medias and mp3 if i mess with it....
on that note how can i extract an xbe and thereby editing it...
thanks again ....

hi ..
i forgot to mention that im guessing that the moddler of these xboxes that are sold here is taking great pains in hiding their work and thereby preventing others to copy of at least edit it ..
of which i am trying to do lol

Unless he writes his own exploits that sounds more like a line to cover shitty work. There nothing to hide with chipping, and you can hide a softmod with the deletion of 2 files and a shadow C, but like I said whats described sounds more like a old backwater mod like the old easter egg mods.
An XBOX is just a PC you can move the media to G drive redo the mod and it will all be there and still accesable. Why would you want to edit XBE? That has nothing to do with seeing C drive. I think youre making things more complicated then they need to be.

hi...!
thanks again for the reply...
as i was about to do what you have suggested it occuredto me that to be able to backup the c drive to e drive autoinstallers would need to erase the backup already in there. which i am guessing it would be a dummy.. so what i did was buy another 500gig and backup everything to a pc which is taking some time and i noticedfrom the fxp that the size of the drives is as follows:
drive e 180 gig
drive f 160 gig
drive g 160 gig
i dunno how come the drive e got such a huge space but nevertheless all drive is almost full and only about 200 to 300 mb was left in each drive..
i was trying to edit the xbe because i want to remove the name of the seller in the dashboard as it is everywhere in there, and i mean everywhere in every cracks and nooks hehehe (not to mention the name in all of the movies and videos and even in the game tease trailer itself was edited to contain the name also), which is,, i think too much and i only want to erase all of those ...
thanks again...

Its the xml you will need to modify.it should say either unleashx xml or evox xml its what tells the dash how to act and where to look etc. The drive size is weird normaly a formatted 500gb should be between 460 and 470gb

That drive is all over the place. The E:\ should be about 4 gigs, the F:\ should be about 137 gigs, and the G:\ should have the rest. _________________
