i have not modified my xbox i would like to know were i should start.whats the east way to go.

HELLO! Welcome to the HQ, i hope you enjoy the site and information available to you!
The best way for you to go depends on what you are comfortable with. There are 3 types of mods that you can perform.
The 1st and in my personal opinion, the best, would be a mod chip. If you are comfortable with soldering and have soldered in the past, I would go with this option. It seems to be the most stable mod, as you don't have to worry about locking the hdd and all. If you go this rout let us know what chip you get and we can get you a tutorial for it!
The 2nd, also requiring soldering, would be a TSOP Flash. This is where you will need to solder a couple points together on your motherboard, allowing you to access the on-board BIOS. You can then flash them with a hacked BIOS.
The 3rd, requiring NO soldering, would be a Soft Mod. This is basically an exploit to get a very small version of linux to run right from a gave save. You would need an Action Replay or you will need to make your own memory stick and create or purchase a converter for USB to XBOX Controller. You will then put the game save on there for one of 3 games we have exploits available for, Splinter Cell 1, 007 Agent Under Fire, or Mech Assault, try your local game store to find one that is not Platinum Hits and an original.
I would suggest reading up on all 3, and then deciding how you want to mod the system, and any questions can be asked and we will answer them!
