I feel pretty dumb asking these questions but just want to get on the right track.
I have the VIP membership and went to the vip downloads. I opened the AID file and noticed 2 folders.
1st folder) has some files along with languages (about 28MB per language)
2nd folder) has the PDF of the AID and numerous files.
So how do I download them and burn them. I have a dvd burner and DVDdecrypter so I will be burning to a DVD-R disk.
Do I download all of them to a folder? Any order? Can I NOT download some (for example, some languages that I don't know: Bulgarian, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek).
I also downloaded 7zip but which icon do I use to unrar the files I downloaded?
My main purpose is.. a friend gave me CD that lets me softmod an xbox using 077 game and Action replay and use the UnleashX dashboard. But I want to add a larger HD.. maybe 200GB+. So I am assuming AID2.11 will help me install the larger HDD w/ ease.
next either get AID through http HERE (VIP only) or through the ftp by going HERE the access the VIP servers. i just selected VIP server #3 by clicking the ftp addy link and it opens up in Firefox's FireFTP. then i click Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v2.11.Final.Xbox-Hq and you get a page full of .RAR's and a few other files like the manual. click one and it hopefully asks you where to save it do this for each one saving them all in the same folder
to properly unRAR, dbl click the first piece. it will either be the lowest numbered or the one that is just RAR. you will know its the lowest numbered piece when you open it and you DON'T see <-> next to the file inside. once you have the first piece open in WinRAR, select everythign inside and then hit the "Extract To" button and select a place to save the file. WinRAR will open and combine the multiple RAR's automatically. that is of course if you have ALL the pieces all in the same folder to start with.

One last question.. is 13KB/sec normal for DSL. The first 2 i download were at 44KB/sec.. is there a way I can make my internet connection move faster. I remember a while back a guy came buy and said "you don't need to be running all these things while on the internet" and stopped them from running. I have since reinsallted the SBC DSL cd so I am guessing they went back to orginal settings.
I guess what I am trying to find out is... how can I make my internt faster. Is there certain program that run while connected that can be disabbled?

You might not be the only one on the server and depending on the servers bandwith, it might slow down a bit. _________________

oh okay.. thanks!!! I guess I will try to download it later when everyone is asleep..haha
Oh and last question. Will have unleashX on my xbox soon. Will be doing a softmod using Action Replay and 077 game.
With new methods and software changing.. what is the easiest way to change the stock HD to a 300GB HD.
Oh and do you have a link to a tutorial on how to FTP to the xbox. I have FlashFXP.

I don't know much about softmodding, but Pirrup does and has this tutorial on upgrading the HDD on a softmod

Hey do any of you guys have the files on the computer and be able to email them to me.
I am downloading them but it is taking me like 24 min per file. and there are 28 more to go Maybe someone can email me the files in 3 sets.
I have the VIP so I can download from the vip section.
