i tried going to file managerand clicking on the default.xbe folder on xbmc but it didnt load...it just froze up

is there a way just to install the tech builds instead of installing a whole new xbmc..if so what folder can i ftp from the new tech build and where do i ftp it to?

Thats what the guide is for its tells you how to update but keep all your settings.
If you dont care about redoing the settings just download the build and over wright the old xbmc folder with the new xbmc folder from the build.

ok i fixed it thanx, i had a nother question, just like i am able to listen to internet music from xbmc, how can i watch internet tv from my xbmc?

Thats not as ez you need scripts to do that and the scripts to watch some of the feeds are here http://www.xbmcscripts.com/ But the scripts are touchy and if thay change the page online the script will need to be updated.

You can but from the main xbmc dash there is a scripts button in there youll find an icon that is labled xbmcscripts, use that to find the script you want and it will download and install it for you.
