It'd be nice if you were on AIM. We wouldn't have to wait for eachother to post.
EDIT: You know, this is really fing pissing me off. I locked the HD by accident, and I spent 6~8 hours unlocking the damn thing. I got it unlocked, and then spent another 2 hours put a dashboard, and making up another Linux CD. Now, I'm spending all this time trying to RELOCK THE DAMN THING! I'M GOING IN CIRCLES HERE! WTF
EDIT2: Do you think if I reformat the whole drive, and start over, it might work?

How are you going to format it if the drive cannot be accessed through xboxhdm?
If you can access it with hdprepare, format it and try to access it though xboxhdm again. Copy your files, and try to lock it at the same time.
Also, are you using the latest version of xboxhdm? _________________

It can be accessed, it just can't be locked.

Useful tool both for softmodders and modchip users (who can ignore locking
issues).
Initial version : xboxhdm_v1.0.zip
Current version : xboxhdm_v1.9.zip
As always - use the info and tools described here at your risk. Don't come
whining if something goes wrong...
You should especially be careful when using the HDD locking tools. Write down
and backup any passwords you use.
^-- from Tutorial.txt in the xboxhdm folder.
I'll see if I can get it to boot to windows with the drive installed.
EDIT: Yeah that was a waste of time. I formated the drive, and reinstalled the partitions, only to end in the same place: NOWHERE!
Jesus, we need a pr0 on the scene here.

I think I found out whats wrong. According to the image you posted above, it appears that the drive is a a western digital wd1200bb. I checked the database here on xbox-hq, and it appears that drive cannot be locked at all.
Double check for me, I did a search by model number with wd1200bb and it says that its not lockable.
Hopefully I looked at the wrong drive. Care to clarify? _________________

Sorry to say, but If you DID read the previous pages, I did lock it before.
I don't know if you were paying attention, but I believe the whole 2nd page was me going insane trying to UNLOCK the damn thing.
3 out of 4 people were able to lock this drive. It can be done. I did it before.

I confused this with another post, and I guess they have wrong information in the database then.
If it locked in the exact same way before, either the drive has been damaged or its a setting that you changed. What that setting may be, who can say.
I can recommend a few things: reburn xboxhdm to be sure something didn't get corrupted, revert to the settings that you were using before this problem occured.
If you've done your research on google, you may find this issue happening with a similiar drive(wd1600bb). It was report that the problem was with the PC/bios. Have you tried another computer? _________________

I can try it in my dad's comp when he leaves tomorrow.
I SERIOUSLY doubt it's the HDD. I tried to lock down my 3 other drives, and it gave me the same BS error.
WAIT YOU"RE RIGHT! I'M USING A DIFFERENT DISK! Let me try the first disk; let's see if I can find it.
EDIT: I was actually using the first disk I made. I think it only just copied the M$ dash to the HDD. I hope that's good enough. :X
I don't want to lock the damn thing, and then find out it doesn't work.
I'm going to format it again, and then use the newer disk that had EvoX on it, just to be safe.

I don't think its the drive, I beleive that it may be a compatability issue. Try fiddling with your bios again and set it to none if you can for the drive, see if that works.
And if nothing else, wait till tomorrow. _________________

Just prep the drive, ensure that your ms-dash files are in the right places, and you should be good to go if/when you get the drive locked.
Alternately, have you tried creating a floppy boot disk and locking the drive with hddlock/atapwd/etc?
I thought of that, but I don't have a floppy drive.
