hey i'm pretty new at this but i managed to get everything to work when i swapped a new seagate 120GB hd in my softmodded xbox
everything boots up fine but now every time i try to play a game it freezes up, i've already emptied out the cache drives and it still does it. any suggestions?

do you have the latest dvd2xbox version installed? if not then do so and then re burn the game. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

I am new with the who softmoddingthing, and i installed UnleashX and it worked fine so I bought a new HDD and Have followed many different tutorials and have not been able to get it to work... I dont know if it is because my xbox is a v1.0 and a piece of shit, or what, but when I install the HDD after building and partitioning etc. using xboxhdm_v1.9 the xbox says "Your Xbox Requires Service""Please Call Xbox Customer Support" (in many languages) but then Iput my old HDD in and it works fine!
Any Ideas... Im dieing here (this hdd better work I bought it with my birthday money,Im pissed because i could have bought a nice HPA tank 4 my paintball gun instead)

There is no error code, just what I said.. in english german spanish french chinese and some other language... my other HDD is the original.. _________________ Xbox V1.0.. so old it cant host Halo2 Games anymore..

ok so it flashes red and green and what files did you transfer to the C ? and on the eeprom folder you just transferd eeprom.bin right? _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

i transfered the entire contents of my old C: and E: drives (used a dvd-r) and yes, eeprom.bin is the eeprom folder _________________ Xbox V1.0.. so old it cant host Halo2 Games anymore..

try this ..... re download a fresh xboxhdm1.9 then download a new retail ms dash from our friend pirrup or go to the newbie section and under the thread useful links ... once you have downloaded both un zip the ms dash and transfer it to C folder then the eeprom.bin again and re burn the disc and re do the whole process.
reasons why? i 'v never seen call ms service on atempting a new hd but w/out no error code.. normaly if we see this we eiter get 05 or 06 ... but in this case theirs no numbers... so i think that on the C its missing something...
