It almost sounds like theres something wrong with the ICS PHY chip, but it could be something else, what pc program are you using to ftp with? _________________

I use cuteFTP pro but i also have and tried flash fxp with no luck.
BTW what is the ICS PHY chip and what does it do.

its a nic card for your xbox.... try installing unleash x and then try to change your static to dhcp and then try ftping......

i had this too .... i dont think it interfears with ftping but to fix this download webroot spy sweeper and remove all your spyware.. im sure its dmage from the registry section.....

dont have aid 3 but umm .....
download it un rar it burn iso on a dvd-r to make sure it reads .... run aid 3 and click on install dashboards ( softmods) and choose unleash x .... install it as dash on E _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

What IP adress does the xbox that works fine have? If you are running a linksys router, and it has DHCP on, the usual default settnig is to have DHCP pull adresses from 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.149. So if you are tring to set a static IP adress that falls in that range, it may not work. Maybe I misunderstood, but it seems like you said that you had set that adress and it had not come from DHCP. If this is the case, try changing this xbox's ip to somethiong like 192.168.1.15, assuming that 15 is not used in your home network already. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

I've tried changing ip adresses already in a wide rage of numbers with no luck. I haven't tried using unleash yet but i'll give it a go when i get off work. I do doubt that the problem lies in the dashboard. This xbox is just wierd. I've softmodded many of my friends xboxs before without ever encountering this problem but for some reason this xbox is just stubborn as hell.
BTW this is my setup if it helps
computer ip: 192.168.1.100
working xbox ip: 192.168.1.110
bro's stubborn xbox ip: 192.168.1.105
P.S.
I've been working on his box for about two weeks now and i'm really starting to think it may be something wrong internally. It really sucks to be so close to modding it but so far away at the same time. If there are anymore ideas, let me know.
