My samsung drive plays backup xbox games very well on Staples brand DVD-R media. I am trying to create a backup of Jade Empire without deleting anything and without degrading the video quality. Of course, this proves to be a task since the entire game is between 6 and 7 GBs. Has anyone had luck playing backup games using DVD+R9 media? My PC DVD burner will only allow me to burn DVD+R9 media. For some reason, it will not burn -R dual layer. _________________ XBOX v1.6:

Not sure if it is DVD + or - 9, sadly I don't have a D/Layer burner so I don't know of such things But it was a discussion you might want to take note of.
I unfortunately have a dvd + R burner. _________________ XBOX v1.6

I use Memorex DVD+R's single and double layer and have not had any problems yet. I use Craxtion$ to rip and game and create the ISO and then use Nero to burn the DVD. _________________ XBOX v1.6

The dual layer dvd-9 last I heard isn't standardized yet and if it does some of the dvd dl burners should have a upgrade firmware to be able to burn dl dvd-r. I know my pioneer dl can have that feature when it does support it I checked out the manual hehe.
