Can't wait to get it. My xbox is dead at the moment due to the xbox live loop thing.
Thanks

That would be a great idea. A help document that begins with the premise that someone has a dead xbox and needs to simply start all over.
That way if I kill xbox while trying to do my first mod, I have a document
which assumes I killed the xbox (like what if I did forget to backup and really need to start all over).
Links to software would be nice. Be a name dropper. It helps.
Some kind of information streamlining. All of us do not need to reinvent the wheel. Nero is a simple program to use but it has ( I think) a 157 page how to. Assuming that the software you would be using would only need a few items tweaked, it would be handy to say, click this and do that. When I got my radio license, I had to study morse code. Why? Simply because all those who came before me seemed to have an attitude, "I had to do it." Regardless of whether or not the knowledge served a legitimate purpose. I remember when I began dos many years ago. The book was about 560 pages. While going through all of that I would complain to the wife, 'Does someone actually expect anyone to remember 500 pages of information before they get to the beginning.'
That's where autoexec.bat and config.sys were introduced.
I am not a dummy but whoever came up with * for dummies does not seem to know the difference between ignorant and stupid. I think the dummy part comes in when an individual purchases a book which begins with an insult.
Have some who knows very little of softmodding, ftp, etc. edit it by having him soft mod one. If you have to point out, do this or do that, modify the document as best you can.
GIGO. The novice knows only what he is being told. He can be only as precise as the instructions.
I know this is all without compensation and as such it asks quite a bit.
I am merely adding my $0.02 about what I would like to see. I'm
having my sons modded by Stonington. But I figure I'll tinker with the old one when the new one arrives. I may wait to see your product.

I'd say if it was pirrup would have mentioned something in this post. As of yet I don't think it's finished.
