I just recieved a blue wireless controller made by Mad Catz with the Gamestop logo in the middle of the controller. I want to use it right away so I had put in charged triple A batteries in and had the wireless reciever connected to the xbox and had the controller switched to "ON". Then I turned on the xbox and booted straight to UnleashX and from there the controller is not working. So I booted to the old regular Microsoft Dashboard and still can't get it to work. I can't find much detail about this controller and If i'm correct it does not have a sync button or anything like that. It has a simple design with ready to play features. I can't even tell it it's on there are no lights but I can't be too sure. Maybe it just doesn't work with modded xbox? I can't test on a regular xbox I don't have one.

My Logitec wireless controllers seem to work grate for anything but the modding part so i would look at the controller and not the xbox.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I was having a similar problem with my wireless gamepads. I have two MadCatz wireless pads and, if yours is similar to mine, it has a click on and off switch in the centre of the gamepad facing you and a large wireless adaptor that has a blinking light when plugged into the Xbox. Basically if you turn the pad on and the light is still blinking, it's not linked. Turn it on and turn it off again until the light stays solid. You've probably already figured this out, but on the off chance other members are having a similar problem....

How so? My Logitech works fine even during modding. Just curious!

Some (not all) modding APPs will not read from a wireless signal.

Wireless controllers not liking mods seems to be common. I had a MadCatz worked fine and another that didnt. I noticed with my 4.2u Wii as well. As soon as I run Homebrew Channel my Wii brand Wii mote goes to shit but Intec works fine.

Interesting! Now that I think about it, I have a Logitech wireless and two Madcatz wireless controllers and, by chance, I've never used the Logitech one for modding so I had no idea it might have trouble!
