i just tried my first back up and its not playing?? i used dvd2xbox and it copied everything fine. now when i go to play off of the HD it goes straight to a black screen. I changed the name on the folder to not have any quotes or commas ir anything and it still does the same thing

Clear your E cache folder out and delete anything in the XYZ folders.
If you just put the game on the hdd and moved a save file over from some other hdd you might need to delete the save.

that didnt do anything. there wasnt anything in my x y z partitions. i also have another folder with the same name in the directory that i just noticed
Baldurs gate should run off the hard drive without any issues
Try backing up a different game, see if that plays.
Its probably just the region settings in the display options for your dashboard that need changing. _________________
