Your best bet is definitely an autoinstaller. Try different media. Determine which DVD Drive you have (Samsung, Thompson, or Phillips) and look at the post asmunch made about what media goes best with what drive.

Then, grab Slayers Autoinstaller as DJB has found a couple bugs in his that he is taking care of, otherwise I would recommend that one. It will repartition your HD for you lickety split. If you still have issues, please submit a VIP ticket or post again and let us know what is up.

If you can boot Backup games then you should be able to boot the auto-installers with no problems..

Just choose format partition from the menu of the auto-installers and you will be fixed..!
