I recently purchased a CleverMod to fix a coma console and its working great. I have a question though. Is there anyway to recover the MS bios to the onboard TSOP without having to purchase a 29 wire modchip? I noticed a few options in the 3.0.1 flash bios utility to flash the 1.0-1.6 MS bios. I have read all the documentation and I didn’t see any instructions on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a V 1.2 with the X2 4983 bios.

Thanks!

Basicly when you boot from the LPC bus the ISA bus the tsop resides on is not available, so no you can't boot from the LPC and flash the tsop. I don't think you can run an exploit with the condition of your tsop either. The flashing options deal with the serial eeprom that holds the hhd key and parental controls, and the tsop or mod chip flashrom hold the bios firmware.

Those eeprom flashing tools are if your hacked 4983 bios boots to a blank screen and RED led.

Your easiest solution is get a retail bios on one bank of the Sunday chip and set up an external switch so you can togggle the retail and other 256k bios. You can play live fine that way and just run the switch from the a-18 jumpers, pretty self explanetory I hope. Also the IR kit has a bank toggle function for a bit more money than a switch. As far as getting a retail bios they are all on some install disks right?

When designing Sunday a postive D0 scheme and a way to flash a tsop from the LPC were mentioned as features I should try to include. I got the D0 problem solved but the tsop flash either required custom XBE's or there is a custom bios already out I'm over looking. It is actually possible but hey, I got a deal on 29 wire mods for ya
