Brother and sisters, please help me~
Now, I have nutted out just about every post on the forum for the past week, and I have finally purchased my usb cable for the USB memory.
Ok. I am now trying the softmod, and have a list of things I will do in order.
1. Backup the Existing Dash to E: This is done by using Splinter Cell (Classic edition and proven working).
2. Install the Softmod via Splinter Cell
3. Turn off Xbox, and inserting the AID 2.02 Disc (Patched only with 2.02), which will boot to the AID2 Menu.
4. Delete everything in C
5. Install MS Dash from AID
6. Restart Xbox
7. Using Splinter Cell again, boot into SID 3.0 and install softmod again?
8a. Boot into AID 2.02? And from there use install a Hacked dashboard of choice??
8b. Or do I install a hacked dashboard from SID 3.0??
9( this i have no idea about) Do i install the 5960 patch from SID 3.0? More importantly, when i Do a backup, do i overwrite what i backed up in step 1.? Wouldn't that overwrite my stock information? More importantly, say if i screw up somewhere along the lline, wouldn't i need to revert back to original (meaning to the status of when i purchased it)?
Of course, I've already tried the things from the manual, the flawless guide, and all the other help files. Please just help me to clarify this once and for all...

unpack the softmod files for splinter cell to your pc (SID3) > you can find them in the AID2
put the linux game save to your usb stick
then copy the file from your usb stick or mem card to your xbox using MS dash savegame manager.
run the Splinter cell and load the save game
now you are in the SID3 menu:
1. Backup the Existing MS Dash
2. Install Softmod
3. DONT FORGET before turning xbox off or reboot: install a dashboard (evox or unleashx)
4. Turn off Xbox, and inserting the AID 2.02 Disc (Patched only with 2.01 and 2.02), which will boot to the AID2 Menu.
5. go to softmod section in AID2
6. chose Install nkpatcher + ms dash (to c
7. DONT FORGET before turning xbox off or reboot: go back to softmod section - install dashboard
8. chose a dashboard(not ms dash) but make sure it's on C:
9. now when this is done you can reboot your xbox without the cd and your xbox will be ready _________________ HOTSWAP | MS dash |
