This is just my personal opinion, but I feel that everyone should stop buying the online downloads/updates for games. What you are actually doing is telling microsoft it is ok to charge us even more money than what we originally payed for the game to get the levels that should be included in the original price anyways. ALL you buyers are the reason why this next xbox 360 is going to have a marketplace, don't you think if no one was buying the updates, that the 360 would not have it. The costs of developing games and technology is going through the roof. It is better they do this than release another 50 dollar game, call it ver. 2 and just have new maps.
Its a process of reality and the world. We want it, it takes money to make it. M$ is standing to lose money in the Hardware for 360 and giving away Silver XBox live, they have to make up for it somewhere.
I personally don't mind. If you love a game that much, be happy more maps are available b/c all the games you want maps to have, they couldn't afford to make. _________________ XBOX v1.6

Basically I believe that the maps and such are already made before the game is released, but figure why leave it in the original disc when they can sell it for an additional price later on. They did this with midtown madness 3 and I am willing to bet they will do it in the future. Also, I am extremely skeptical of all this nonsense of the systems actually losing money just by them selling it below actual cost. I believe it is a marketing ploy that actually worked extremely well for some reason. Anyone in business will tell you that to make a product planning to lose money is nonsense and M$ has been around long enough to not be so stupid. As far as the free xboxlive service (I believe you called it silver or something), they are losing money because of bandwidth, but they know people who are really going to use xbox live are going to pay for the subscription so they can play it whenever they want, not just on weekends except for those few, but the statistical point for them is like Vegas betting on the "House". And everyone knows the "House" always wins.
And as far as the idea that it is better to do this than make us pay another $50 for another game, well that is why all the next generation games are getting a price increase of 20%. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

Xbox live silver is a xbox live service for xbox 360. I means that everyone gets xbox live for free but only on weekends. Great for those who work full days during week, but have weekends off. _________________ XBOX- V1.0
