Ok, I installed softmod, and it worked fine and all, so I installed the Halo 2 map packs. Then I tookrestored the old dashboard to play Halo 2, and some Mechassault (first time with it and it updated itself when going on Live) - and now it says the Run Linux savefile is unknown.
Help? Or was it a bad idea to run the linux program and is there anyway to fix this?
And that is the only way to get back to softmod, right?
Or Do I have to go out and buy Splinter Cell or Agent Under Fire and know better than to go to Live...

im not quite sure wat you mean.
but it sounds as though you don't have your own copy of splinter cell, 007 or mechasssault. you'll need your own copy to restore the mod back on again. then weever you want to go back on live restore the MS backup _________________ <b><u>Xbox v1.6</b></u>

I have a copy of Mechassault.
Xbox Live updated Mechassault when I played it on Live, in which it now shows the run linux savefile as unknown.
O well, I bit the bullet and bought splinter cell and it works fine now, but am still a little frustrated because Mech won't work.
I just wasn't able to access the mod with mechassault anymore.

My copy=walking into EB and buying it there. Softmod worked fine with it until my Xbox patched itself <grr>
