Posted: Sun Jul 03, 2005 3:23 am Post subject: Need help flashing X-ecuter 2.6 bios!!!Xb is error coded 16!
I thought a modchip would fix my xboxes error 16 problem. So I bought and installed the X-ecuter 2.6 successfully. Now scence my xbox has an error code and can't boot/load games, I was wondering if anyone can help me? I'm at the FlashBIOS 3.0.1 part. It says\/
1.Enable Network Flashing
2.Load BIOS from HDD (c.\Bios)
3.Load BIOS from Disc
4.Unlock HDD
5.Lock HDD
When I try #2 it says No C:\Bios found... (mabye because I formated driver c?)
Anyways, could someone help me with my problem? I need to flash a BIOS for my X-ecuter 2.6, v1.0 xbox. Could someone help me? Much would be appretated.

Here is a pre-made bios cd for the Xecuter..
Unfortunately its only available to vip's but it there if you want to try it..
All you have to do is download and burn to a cdrw (that works) and then flash it from your modchip menu with the from disc option..
Description:
This is a known good burn of a Xecuter2 4983.67 Bios CD. Just unzip it and you will have the bios.bin file and all the dummy files that go along with it. I have tested it on my Xenium Chip and successfully flashed a bank using just a CDR..god bless the Samsung DVD Drive! Use media that is known to work on your machine and you will have no problems.
You could also try flashing the EvoX M8 bios too.. Its the latest bios and im sure you will be able to use that too..
the X2 boot cd download has more info though to help!

You could also connect your Xbox to your router if you have a router that is.
Then, select the first selection : "Enable Network FLashing"
You will then see a new screen and an IP Address will be listed. Most likely something like 192.168.1.101
Just open a new web browser and type http://192.168.1.101 (of course use the ip you got) and go from there.
It's honesly the easiest way to flash a chip. If you have the means, I highly suggest it.
Otherwise, you will want to create a bios disk. I'm not a huge X2.6 installer, but I do like the chip. I just don't install them much at all. If I am not mistaken, you may have to make sure that the bios is named properly. With all the chips I install, the bios name doesn't matter. But, you may have to rename the bios you download to bios.bin BEFORE you burn your bios disk.
I'd hate for you to make your CD and spin wheels for nothing.

Wise choice, it will make your life so much easier. and won't make a dvd-r a coaster after another updated bios comes out and needs to be burned to another disk again. _________________ XBOX v1.6

when he says open a new web browser he just means open INTERNET EXPLORER or FIREFIX browsers.. ok..
Yea i've already figered that out, but thanks anyways!
I'm having another prob. Every time I go to Enable Network Flashing, go to my IP adress on the new browser, then brows and upload & Flash with something from yalls download section. I look at my screen and it says illegal size. NOT flashing. Can anyone help?
Oh ya!!! My modchip is an Xecuter 2.6! Please send me a right link to the Bios! I need it asap befor I go on vacation!!!

I already gave you a link to the perfect bios for you.
You could use the M8 evox bios too thats in the VIP Downloads.

Ok but I can't follow the link. . Could ya just give me a link to a bios almost as good (you know, without having to go to the vip section)? For some reason this site will not let me enter a vip account...(sadly ). So could you give me another link to a BIOS almost as good? (The closes you could get me to the link you posted)?
