I would like to soft mod my xbox but i believe it's not possible to get these version/edition of these games any longer.
Mechassualt (NON PLATINUM)
007 - Agent under fire (NON PLATINUM)
Splinter Cell (NON PLATINUM)
So... how else can I soft modd if there are these games are no longer available?

there isn't even a place to rent games around you? thats what i did. went to hollywood video and rented mech assult did the mod and returned it. and unless you mess with anything you shouldn't ever need the game again.

I got Splinter Cell for £4.50 including postage on E-bay.

they are at EBgames at the mall here for $7, just gotta look for them

There are places that rent games but how can I verify that these games are unpatched? It seems that there is no clear method to identify them.
I did thought about purchasing them from ebay but then again, I'm not sure if the seller is aware of the game version also.
It looks like soft modding xbox would get harder as time goes by as these versions would harder to come by as it's no longer in production.

Just like everyone says, check ebay and your local EBGames.
I grabbed my Splinter Cell (x3 coz I got one for Bcossette and Forahobby also) at EBGames, and I got my 007 agent under fire from Ebay. I tried buying Mechassault from Target and it didn't work, but I don't really care coz I have 2 out of the 3 games.

i did a softmod no problem using SID 2 and the platinum Splinter Cell if it helps

if you are renting a game from a video store that has been around for a while you should be safe. no places that i have heard of go out and buy new games to rent just because they patched it. as long as they can keep on making money on their old games they will. and if for some reason the gameyou rent is newer, scratch the sh!t out of it and tell them it didn't work and try another one

Really.. So platium titles work do they??
Ive been looking for the originals myself but if Platinum titles work ill buy them..
"classic's" work as well for that matter, i tried my classics version and it worked. btw classics is what us Aussies have instead of platinum.

I think i have only 3 x PAL games and the rest of my originals are NTSC.. I have like 28 original games all up most bought of ebay etc..
