Hey all is there a way to put movies on the hd and then watch them I havea ftp setup but I dont know what folder to put the moive in, and this is a little off topic but for xbox .isos what kind of dvd do i want I saw like dvd+rw and dvd-rw whats the difference how do I tell what my computer has?

first of all, is it modded?
if so, just download and install dvd2xbox that rips games as well as dvds...all i do to play it is load up xbmc and away we go...
or, if your saying that you have the movie on your computer hard drive, just ftp them to e:\video (or something similar) and launch xbmc and fine the file and open it up and there you go

hmmm ok yeah its modded softed modded to be exact with UnleashedX so all i do i make a folder named video in e:\ xbmc i assume thats xbox media center i dont think i have that I need to get the auto installer on my box but i dont have a dvd and its not working with a cd-rw i assume cause its a dvd drive?

well, a cd-r(rw) should still work on it...but do you know how to ftp to it?
if so, you can download both xbox media center and dvd to xbox from this site (if your a vip member)
just ftp both those over to your xbox and then you're pretty much set...

Well i got the movie on the box but now im trying to install auto installer delux have it on a cd-rw but i put it in the xbox and its like theres nothing in the dvd drive i went to dvd2xbox and it says no disc so i dont know :/ but im going to look for the xbmc im not a vip so cant get it from here

well, pop your auto installer cd-rw into your computer and see if you can see the contents from there, if so, just ftp the xbmc over to your xbox and see what that does

well i reburned the aid because when i put the old disc in it said it was blank so i tried to burn again and it said it was full.... so I reburned it and its doing the same thing.. I burned it onces on alchole 120% and this time on nero any ideas?

does aid even fit on a cd-r(w)? well take a look throguh the folders, and you will prolly run acrossed the xbmc folder in there somewhere...just ftp that on over...

are you sure you're burning it right? you need to unrar the files and there should be an .iso file on there...all you do is open up nero and click on "open project" just find the .iso file you extracted and open it...then just click on burn...hope you get it working

well i just opened the iso directly and put the xbmc folder in apps i load it up and it give me a error like couldnt open q:\xbmc.xml file Line 0 or somthing like that
edit: to be exact the error is

FTP server running on port 21, login: xbox/xbox
Well what i did was take the XBMC rar and unzip it to e:\apps\XBMC
rebooted my box and tried to run it and thats what I got
