I just made a CD-R with a Xecuter 2 bios on it and I flashed it onto my drive (i have a Smart XX chip installed). But when I put a back-up game in the drive and select the Xecuter 2 bios, the system shuts down, powers back on and displays the Smart XX dash again. Am I missing something?

40 GB
Samsung Drive
Smart XX installed
Xecuter 2 Bios (Cromwell - 256K)

so what bios did you use the newest one 4983?

to use a backup game enable the chip on x2 bios and boot with or with out the game inside. It might be a media problem are yopu using dvd-r or cd-r, cd-rw? how did you burn them or what format.

do you have the programmer? it' worth buying. you now for sure that the bios are right and installed right on the chip.
