Hey all! A friend of mine says he got a modded xbox, but is clueless to what chip he has and what bios he is running. The only info he could supply me was that when he first boots up his machine he has to hold in a certain button on his controller. Then the Green X will turn Orange, but he says no bios info listed below the X. Not sure if he's smokin his bathwater or if this is correct. If anyone has seen this before, please let me know what bios you think he's running. Gee Thats a tough one can he acces it through ftp.
has he tried to do that yet. then he should be able to find out what bios he is running I think. what type of chip does he haveinstalled on his xbox.

that is a tough one..
but, if his xbox is booting backups that means he can boot to evox dashboard.. *unsigned code
So burn EVOX to a CDRW making sure you have a default.xbe in the root of the XISO..
Boot it up and it will show the bios.. It sounds like a pretty old modchip but you could never be sure..
THE BIOS:

The red bios on boot could really be anything.. You can modify any bios using a pc bios manager and change colours etc or remove movie startup..

did your buddy figuar out what bios and what chip it was.
hobby we got it under control. The two of us got lots of stuff to upload for the site got some other ideas also hope you will like.
