Well, I'm not going to explain how it happened, but right now I have a v1.1 XBOX with no HDD. The 8GB WD drive that was in my XBOX is dead. I unlocked it and lost power to my system before it was relocked. I don't have a backup of the eeprom (Maybe I do, don't know if that was backed up or not). I do have a backup on my PC of everything that was on the drive right before I unlocked it. I also have a 120GB drive I want to use. Not partitioned or formated or anything. I get error code 5 when I boot my XBOX with the 8GB drive. Tried hotswapping drives in ConfigMagic on a friends XBOX. Now, I get eroor 13 with the 120GB drive. It was softmodded using the Splinter Cell exploit. I just ordered a Xenium ICE solderless mod chip. Is this going to help me get my XBOX running again. Prefferably with the 120GB drive? Any help or pointers or links to tutorials would really, really help. Thanks.

you will have to wait for the chip , with the chip you can use your big hd .
Okay, so there is no eeprom backup. Am I still going to be able to do this, even with the chip installed? Can I make a backup of a friend's softmodded xbox HDD, and use that?

U cant use a backup of ur friends, but the problem will be solved with the chip install.
