i softmodded my xbox 2 days ago and tonight i wanted to upgrade the hd. well i was going through the steps and i unlocked the retail hd and then i accidentally powered off my xbox. now i get this error code 5 and i can't do anything. what can i do to fix this?

pretty much nothing you can do if you dont have a backup of the eeprom from the xbox xcept buy a chip

if you know someone with a tsop'd
or chipped box you'll be in luck as
long as you made a backup at some
stage. your stock hdd now unlocked
will boot in a chipped/tsop'd xbox.

once it is in a chipped/tsop`d box
it can be locked again in configmagic,
by writing down your hdd key found
in your backup folder, and then
editing the chipped/tsop`d box`s
eeprom to use the hdd key for your box.

If you can get hold of modded box
then send me a pm and i will help you.

I don`t know why many tut`s say to
unlock your stock hdd before you
remove them, If you backed up your
C and E drives to your pc then there`s
no need and you wouldn`t be stuck
now either.
