I just got an Aladdin Live with the programmer. I hook up the programmer and the mod chip, start the ALADlive .exe and it doesn't see my chip... I've checked all my settings and still nothing. I still installed it anyway to see if it came pre loaded...when I turn on my xbox it turns off,on,off then flashes green/red (I think it's FRAG). If someone could help I would appreciate it.

I got the chip and programmer as a package from Divineo.com...I have gotten my xbox to stop FRAGing...but the auto installer seems to be giving me problems now...The only thing it lets me do is format the harddrive...but then it says that it can't load all the apps and there may not be enough disk space and to ftp into it....HELP!!!!

if you can run the autoinstaller then use it to flash the chip .
use 1mb x2 4983.06 bios (if u have an xbox v1.0-1.4 ) or 1mb evox M8 plus16 if u have a 1.6 , then reformat the harddrive and try to install the rest _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

Now it started FRAGing again...did I erase the bios off the aladdin???If I could get this programmer that came with it to work I would feel better and it would clear up some things. For some reason the software doesn't see the chip so it won't read, write or verify... wish there was a lot more support for these. There are pictures all over the web but no documentation on the subject.

you might have a bad chip ,
return it to divineo and get the duoX2 cromwell edition $17,
its a better chip , u can flash it through the network or from cd/dvd ,
also , i saw something on one of the aladdin websites that you need to connect one wire between the programer and the chip if the chip is not recognised but i dont know which points on the programer and the chip and i cant find that website again ,
also try different usb ports because you might not have enough voltage ,
and one more thing you can try is configuring the parallel port settings , i know there are different modes it comunicates with ...i havent had to configure it , mine worked right out of the box but you might need to _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

Thanks I finally figured it out...when you go into Aladdin Live setup it asks you which LPT port...it wants a three digit number so I put in 001 as in LPT1 but what is really asking for is the I/O range which mine is 378... the 3 digit number that the setup was looking for...DUH...I guess I need to change my Avatar to Idiot Inside!!! I think what my problem now is my HDD...
