hello, i am extremely new to the xbox-mod thing and i need some help,
a while ago i got an aladdin advanced chip, and i had one of my dads friends put it in for me, and now my xbox wont load games like starwars kotor, elders scrolls 3 marrowind, and pandora tomorow. Is this a normal problem, or did he screw my xbox up? Can it be fixed? And i really want to keep modding my xbox with a larger hard drive(i have the factory drive), emulators, and external things.
Oh and i forgot to mention that he didnt instal any bios or dashboards, so i still have the normal microsoft dashboard.
thanks.
and the manufacture date for my xbox is 2002-09-10

I believe the alladin chip comes with the cromwell bios. You will need to flash the chip with a hacked bios. The alladin chip I have came with an external programmer.
WHat version of xbox do you have?

I'm not a huge proponent for the Aladdin chip. Don't get me wrong, those who choose to have that chip and if it's running stable, then that's cool too, it's just I'm not a big fan of the chip.
I'd be more than happy to give you a hand, if you have the programmer just send me the machine and programmer and I'll get everything all set up for you. Or, if you want me to, I can put in a SmartXX LT OPX mod chip. The chip is only $29.95 and is kick ass. It's a 4th gen chip, meaning it has a built in operating system. No need for external switches, programmers, or even LPC rebuild boards on 1.6 machines. It's truly an amazing chip for the money. I saw a few minor problems with the first few batches in the machining of certain parts, but they have rectified it in a hurry.
If someone would have told me a month or two ago that there was going to be a fourth gen chip for under $30.00 I would have asked them to pass me the crack pipe.
