Hey my XBOX-HQ family i have a question.I'm gonna mod a friend's XBOX tonight with the splinter cell memmory card hack.Once i do that can i swap the hard drive with a bigger one and install it with the auto installer deluxe disc?Please help. Also i just heard that softmod auto installer is good to soft mod with.How do that work if you cant boot a dvd-r unless the system is already modded so that it is capable of reading the disc

lol if you put the hard drive in and then put the AID in the box will not work and will come up with an error code because your xbox is doesnt have a bootable bios from the hard drive. So instal the SC audio hack, install evox or unleash x , then put in the AID, run it, then WHILE THE AID IS STILL RUNNING swap your hard drives, unlock it , format it, and then instal the M$ Dashboard, then lock the hard drive. Then see if the box boots like a normal one. If it works put SC back in and do the softmod again and instal whatever you want!!! This is how i install bigger harddrives in my friend's xboxs if they arent putting a chip in it. If you have any questions let me know!

I've just finshed reading the read-me for soft mod installer and i have a question.Once i've completed the soft mod installer can i run auto-installer deluxe and use that disc to redo everything or will this mess up what soft mod installer does to to system.And if i am able to go behind softmod installer with auto installer delexe after i'm done when i open the door will the soft mod screen appear or will it just go the dashboard that i picked(which is what i want it to do.).

upgrading the XBOX HDD after softmodding is a little more difficult then just using the AUTO INSTALLER DELUXE.. Since you dont have a hacked bios on a chip your softmodded xbox boots the files from the hdd.
There is a tutorial here in our XBOX Tutorials section which explains in detail how to upgrade a HDD in a SOFTMODDED Xbox.

The question I have is I have a xbox ver 1.0 with the kernal 5838 and I want to softmod my xbox I am new at this and would like some help. I have 007, but would it be better to use another game. I have the save files for all the games. I want to also put a new bios on it and have itools and evox m8 but when I try to install it using itools it gives me a error saying it cant find the ude2 patch and some other problems I can't remember them all. Is there a better way to loading softmoded bios. All I want to do is get a biger harddrive so I can load my games to the hard drive so I don't have to have the disk. Any help would be appreciated.

Jhanson if you want to softmod your xbox the best tools to do it with is with xb0x-hq's softmod installer delexe 2.0 & auto-installer deluxe 1.01programs.Myself i like to use the splinter cell save (which is included with softmod installer) to mod my xbox.Just follow the directions that come with softmod installer.Once you softmod it with that program you can then use the aauto installer deluxe program to select your bios,emulators,dashboards,apps,you name it.Trust me it is very easy as long as you have a way to get the save file on your memory card.I ftped the save files to another modded xbox then saved them to my memory card.If your not a member of this site i suggest you become on cause these people will bust thier ass to help you out as much as possible to help out thier members.I've learned alot from them in the last few month and think this is the best xbox mod site on the web.Especially for nubies thats just getting started with the mod scene.Holla at your boy! _________________ Xbox 1.0/1.6b
