Hey all,
I noticed that someone posted a news article about a new PS 2 emulator but I can't seem to find the link to the site that zmoney provided. Now remember that this is NOT an Xbox related program but supposedly Windows/Linux. With that said....Did some sniffing. Looks like the claim was placed by www.pcsx2.net that they indeed had a PS2 emulator. That site will not pull up. However I found a description like this
"PCSX2
World's first Playstation 2 emulator. This is the first PS2 emulator that slowly shows us that commercial games might soon be fully playable! As you might recognize from the name, it was developed by the team behind the PS One emulator PCSX.
It was developed by reverse engineering PS2 demos, which isn't an ideal source for developing an emulator. It simply is far from complete. But at least it's a start, so if you want to have a look, here it is. "
Summary
Puts files in the windows\system folder that impersonate microsoft files and tries repeatedly to connect to the internet when loaded. Downloads pawn files if given the opportunity. Ships with s3x dialer.
Vendor Description
Here is the content of the readme that ships with PS2 Emulator: 'Download instructions...
1. This is an encrypted .zip archive, you need a password to extract your files.
2. To obtain your password run 'Password.exe', a web browser will open with instructions
3. There is just a simple force vote on this page, there is no sign up for join4free shit, it takes about 10 seconds to vote
4. Once you get your password use it to extract your archive.

Troubleshooting:
No web browser opens up
- Ensure you have a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer on your system
- If using AOL make sure you are connected to AOL's services
I get a vbrun600.dll error
- Download the dll files to run Visual Basic programs from Microsoft's page http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?releaseid=28337&area=top&ordinal=10
I get to the page but I cannot get to the password
- Make sure you follow all on screen directions
- Do you have JavaScript enabled? if not enable it
- Are you running at least Internet Explorer 4.0?
The password doesn't work with the archive
- Ensure your caps lock is deactivated, this is a case sensitive password
- Make sure you have the correct pass for your archive, different programs may have different passwords
Known incompatibility issues
- Certain problems with older versions of MS IE 3.x, etc.
- Older versions of AOL may experience problems
- No Linux/Apple support... some idiot might ask

mind you these rumors have been around for 2-3 years. One of those articles was dated 2002 & that web site pcsx2.net never even renewed their domain! (expired Feb 11) so they must not have done much with the emulator... _________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

I just plan to use them on my PC (Xbox is just to slow)
