I've had that problem with Halo 2 reseting during games sometimes; TheModGod told me to "totally disable IGR in EVtool." This is the problem and where EVtool was mentioned http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=24094#24094. Problem with EVtool is, you can't totally disable IGR. Maybe it's the version of EVtool, maybe it's not. All I see as far as IGR goes is Compatible or Quick. Firstly I'd suggest grabbing EVtool 1.0.9 and giving that a try.

That's what I've got EVtool File Version: 1.0.9.0! Is there even an option to disable IGR? I haven't personally checked into it yet, but I have heard the same thing from my customer when they tried to change IGR properites.
They only had two choices, quicker IGR or more reilable IGR.
Like I mentioned in other post, I am curious if using another dashboard will change the situation.

I have older EvoX 1.0.6 and I only have the two choices also...guess I was thinking I had something else.
I have mine set for More Reliable, wondering if "quicker" will give better results and not be as sensitive?

I'll try the different dash suggestion for now then probably resort to quick IGR suggestion. I've been primarily using my softmodded Xbox lately to play Halo 2 multiplayer and avoid the problem entirely. If you figure out how to disable the IGR for the Bios though, that would be useful to me (and others?). Well I hate to make a shameful plug for my fav dash but try using the "Compatible" IGR method with UX. Just slip in UX and try it out, it could be just the EvoX dash. I can’t say I am the biggest Halo2 fan in the world but when I play H2 on my box launched from UX I don’t have any problems, and I use EvoxM9_16 that I tailored with EVtool. I could be wrong but that’s my best guess… I think you are on the right track to try a different dash.

Is there a EvoXM9_16? I have UnleashX v0.37 or something like that. I can launch as an app, then launch Halo 2. The Bios' IGR is currently on more compatible so we'll see what happens. BTW I've been using EvoX because it's easy to make skins with notepad and customize text and of course the occasional trainer. The UX xml is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I’m a hardware guy, I usually have trouble with software type things, but UX was pretty easy to get the hang of. If you are smart enough to make skins I’m sure you could catch on to UX quickly. If you like the dash and need a good reference I had uploaded a .doc to the downloads section that is a printer friendly version of the UX manual (not paper friendly, >30 pages). I edited it to make it easier to read in a hard copy version.
I also have a kid friendly UX xml I can link to if you care to see, its at least worth printing out to compare to the original xml. _________________ -Scourge "Rx = +/_\"

I will take a look at that UX .doc soon. I'm sure I'll figure most all of it out, but if something ain't working I'll ask that guy with the UX sig. Oh yeah, that would be you. Lately I've been learning how to mod Halo 2 (not just apply the .ppf files) so that's where all my time goes. I have always wondered what IGR means. I know it means In Game Reset but what does it practically do? Or what extra features you have when you have IGR support... you can reset the game to the beginning? or.. go back to dashboard or what, I really don't know
