yes iv loaded Evox with Splinter cell and im at a menu... i set up my settings for a ftp and i can get to my hdd... just i dont know what to do from there.... what directories go where someone please help me

be carefull not to delete or move anything
you dont know about.
most people use auto instalers but i
guess there are many like me who find
it more fun using ftp and doing averything yourself
what are you trying to loed?
the more info you can give the more
help we can give!
anyhow a good trick ifound is to put
all the apps you want in a folder called apps, same with emulators and so on in to E or F then uninstalling
the soft mod then re install it again
then it auto adds all the stuff for
you saving editing those ini files
( you might have to put your emulators
into games tho.

i am having similar problems on 1 v1.2. i can load evox via mech exploit but when i try to flash any of the three sets of bios i get an error saying flash not writeable. i have tripple checked and redone my two sets of points. i was wondering since i have ftp access if i would be able to avoid using slayers auto installer and how i could upgrade my hard drive. i am trying to install avalaunch and the basic programs like dvd2xbox, and emulators. i have successfully accomplished this 5 times on v 1.1 and 1.0's but i can not get the to work on v 1.2 or higher, i always get this error, (2 times so far)

If you have it all there, why not just use the Xbox-HQ auto-installer? It has everyone of those ... and besides ... its just plain better than slayers _________________ Blue Chaos

You can avoid doing the bios flash if you want. Check out the installer Deluxe package at the top of the softmod forum. You can setup a hard drive with xbhoxhd, which you should find in the download section of this forum. If you still want to do a flash, you would likely be better checking the tsop section of this site. I think there is another forum just for that, or maybe another similar xbox forum (not sure if forum admins are cool with sending people someplace else for that).
