Hey all, hope someone can give me some good ideas where to go next with this issue.
Sold an Xbox Premond (New 1.6, Xenium Ice M8 Bios 300GB HD).
The customer is now in Kuwait (US ARMY)
Insists all was working fine until all of a sudden he went to launch items and selected his M8 bios but he got the MS Dash instead. No EvoX dash which he was getting fine prior to this.
I originally assigned LED Green for MS Bios and LED Blue for hacked bios. When he selects hacked bios, loads MS Dash and Green LED.
I had him reset to factory default. Redid the TSOP assignment.
Put in the Autoinstaller that I furnished him (HQ 1.3 final) and asked him to try to flash.
Only drive he got was D:/
No C, E, or F Need ideas to why he would not see these drives.
He selected D:/ but only black screen would show. No info from disk would show.
So now, he has an xbox that will launch the retail kernel only.
I am unsure if this really would have anything to do with the chip, but the fact that he originall still had the M8 bios showing in his launch menu, yet it would load MS info when selected (he never got the EvoX pink logo in corner and the green led tells me it was loading Ms bios not the bios on the chip) gives me some concern that there are issues with the chip.
I look forward to all the ideas that I can get!

i bet it's terrorists, they always manage to do something sneaky to our boys over seas. who would ahve thought they would ahve sunk to that level...taking away a man's ability to game *Funky sheds a tear for the troops over seas*
