I'm wondering what is the bios that the xbox uses once you softmod it. Does it uses the original xbox bios or one installed by the softmod. _________________ 2 Xbox V 1.0

It has the original bios, that is either replaced or patched in memory, when you turn the box off, it has the original bios on the tsop. _________________

I'm having problems with my bios and I was wondering if I install the ltools exploit will it bypass the original bios so that my xbox boots. Currently my xbox does the infamous two shutdowns and flashing red and green light. It seems that it is a bios problem. I was just wondering if maybe I can fix it without having to buy a modchip or a new motherboard - hdrive set.
Thanks sjohn! _________________ 2 Xbox V 1.0

Sorry but the original bios has to load, and try to load the ms dash for a softmod to work, honestly a chip would be your best bet now. _________________

I was afraid that was going to be the answer. I'll start looking for a chip. Any suggestions? _________________ 2 Xbox V 1.0

I've always thought IF I ever go with a chip i'd go with either the smartxx or the xenium. not sure really, xenium seems to have much more support here. _________________
