A customer of mine just received his machine. I got a call and he says that when he goes to the launch menu there is nothing there....
It's a Xenium Ice with 2.2.1 OS.
I set up the TSOP and Flashed it with X2 4983.06
Has anyone ever had a machine just lose the flash?? I'm just skeptical. I think his son deleted them. He insists that it was like that when he turned it on, but man.... I have shipped near 120 or more machines and never had anything like that crop up before.
The only thing I have ever had happen was a D0 wire popped out once...

The flash chips are only electrically erasable, meaning they will not erase until instructed to do so by a command opcode. If the flash chip failed, the Xenium wouldn't run at all (the OS is also in the same flash chip).
