Is there a way to play movies I have copied to my HDD. I used this autoinstaller and it worked just fine and I can copy games just fine using BoXplorer and adding a folder. I did the same thing and put my movies in the F:\Videos folder but could not figure out how to play the movies. I installed all the apps that came with this installer and tried all of them to see if they would work. XBMC would not do anything for me even after i told it to search the F:\ drive it just would not have anything come up. I would really like to be able to save some of my movies to my hard drive if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

BTW I am running a Version 1.6 Xbox
Evox M8plus Bios
WD 120GB HDD
EVOX 3935 dashboard
Xenium ICE Chip

Basically, you can rip DVD's using DVD2Xbox. This will rip and give you a bunch of .vob files. You can then use XBMC's stack method and watch the DVD.

However, what I do is use a program called Super DVD to Avi 4.0 and convert the 7+GB movies into 500-600mb DivX files. I can then FTP the much much smaller file from my PC to my Xbox and watch it using XBMC.

This way, I can fit 7-10 movies in the same space that I was using to store 1 and I dont have to stack it to watch it.

Hope that helps you a little.

Later man

I found out what was wrong with my XBMC....the F drive was set to the off or unavailable position therefore I had to go into the (I think it was the .xbl file) and change the settings to recognize the F drive....I tried downloading dvd to avi 4.0 and tried it on one of my movies...I kept the file size the same on the output menu and then checked the use divx stuff on the convert part....However....I do not know if it was because I downloaded the trial but it converted the movie down to 330MB but it was not as clear as I imagined it would be....and the fact that every 2 min I had to click continue for a few hours for it to convert....Do you have the same experience with your divx movies or do they play at a resolution where you can not tell the difference between the dvd and divx....Thanks.
