Merry christams from DJB and Forahobby!!
Here's a Christmas Day release to definately put a smile on all your faces:
Information taken from readme file
Commodore 64 Rom Pack
Released 16th December, 2004
What does this do?
-----------------
After following the procedure below and burning to DVD-R/CDRW the Auto-Installer Deluxe will install all 277mb of C64 roms automatically when choosing to install the 'VICE64X' emulator from any of the AID menu's..
- XISO extraction program (simpleXISO, QWIX)
(also available from http://www.xbox-hq.com)
How to use:
----------
1. Extract the 'aid10.iso' using the Recreate DOS tool which the Auto Installer Deluxe provides or you could use another XISO ike 'SimpleXISO' or 'QWIX XISO' to extract the files from inside the .iso file to a folder on your pc.
2. Once you have extracted the .iso files to a folder on your pc you should navigate to: \Recreate\temp\Files\Emus\ directory and delete the existing 'Vice64x.zip' file.
3. Now copy the new Commodore 64 Rom Pack 'Vice64x.zip' file which you just downloaded into that same directory. e.g. \Recreate\temp\Files\Emus\
YOU WILL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE IN FILESIZES ARE HUGE.. THE NEW 'Vice64x.zip' file we are adding is full of roms (277mb) and the old one only holds the emulator (4mb or so)..
4. Ok all we need to do now is CREATE a XISO of the whole AUTO INSTALLER DELUXE directory so we can burn the newly added files to a DVD-R/CDRW for installation on your xbox.
* Follow the tutorial below for QUIX XISO CREATION.
CREATE A ISO FROM GAMES ALREADY ON YOUR PC HDD:
----------------------------------------------
1. Open QWIX
2. Choose 'Create ISO' from the icons on the left hand side.
3. Tick the 'LOCAL FOLDER' option and then go to the right hand side and click on the button '...'
3. Point QWIX to which game on your PC HDD you want to make a ISO of and press ok (its just like explorer).
4. Another window will popup and ask you where on your PC HDD you want to save this .iso file..
Thats it.. When its done creating the iso file you can burn this .iso file with NERO, DVDDECRYPTER or any burning software that support the .iso extension and boot it in your XBOX.
5. Burn the .iso file to DVD-R/CDRW using nero or DVDDECRYPTER (freeware) and boot in your xbox..

nice release DJB! Brings back some memories doesnt it.
The c64 is the reason why we are good at what we both do.
We both started coding and scripting on it.. heheh lol
Geez that was a long time ago now..
Yup not wrong.
I used to do music, assembly language programming, and a little graphics work. Forahobby was mainly doing graphics and music.
Funny enough my C64 scene group Onlsuaght is planning a 10 year demo to celebrate a decade of Onslaught's exsistance. I've been asked to write some music for it, so I'm gonna have to try and do that in the next month.
Anyways, I hope a few ppl enjoy this little taste of nostalgia..
Keep an eye out for more Rom add-on packs being released soon.
Regards,
DJB
