Chipped a 1.0 with a Xenium Ice. Got KP error right away. So, I reset xbox and before the KP error came about I hurry up and assigned the TSOP and booted to MS dash (still have original HD in). Set the time, reset machine. Still getting KP error. Machine then goes into safe mode, then recovery.

Popped in new OS upgrade disk to 2.1.0, upgraded fine.

Still getting KP error. Checked time in MS Dash, all good.

Any ideas?

I can remove the chip as I only ever use the pin header for install, which I did remove and the machine works fine.

I can even install a SmartXX chip and it runs like a champ! I tried other Xenium ice chips just to rule out chip issue and no joy. Updated OS to 2.1.0, no joy.

Something with the Xenium OS and this mobo are not meshing, at all.
