I am having problem flashing xecuter 2.6 on 1.6 xbox. I renamed the 1mb bios to BIOS.BIN and burned with dummy file. When it goes to the flash mode the name of the disc is there, but nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Try using an Autoinstaller from this site.
Which BIOS is it you're flashing? What media are you using to burn, and what type of drive do you have?

Use the M8 bios for a 1.6 machine.
I am not familiar with the 2.6 FlashBios screen, but I bet it's similar to the X3's. If it's recognizing the disk you should be able to select the bios file to be flashed to the chip. It won't do it on it's own without you selecting.
Here is the flash bios 3.03 software tutorial in case you flash bios software is similar. Maybe it will help.
