I want to play \backedup games on my xbox. I want to verify if i have the setup correctly. I need to install a mod chip (i plan on using the Xecuter 3). second i need to flash the chip with a new bios (which i get from xbins, correct?) is that all i need to do to play backed up games. Can i just insert an xbox game into my dvd burner and burn it?
if i have to connect my xbox to my pc what do i need? I only have dial up do to the rural area that i live in so i have no external modem or router or anything. what would be the easiest/cheapest setup?

You cannot insert an xbox game into your dvd burner to dup it. You have to use a modded xbox to rip the game to the xbox HD. Or, you can use a program on your PC called Quix.
It will rip and FTP the files from your Xbox DVD Rom drive to your PC.
Regardless, you need a modded machine to do this.
A mod chip is a great way to go. Once you have it chipped, yes, you need to flash a bios...you are learning young padawan!!!
Once you have it flashed, you can then install applications on your xbox HD that will do all of your dirty work. Then you can enjoy! You need to determine a few things like what xbox version you have, what chip and how you are going to install it, and what bios you are going to flash. Your xbox version will dictate how you do a lot of things.
