Confused Ok, I've tried lots of different Bioses that have the LBA48 support, but everytime I change the bios and format the g: partition it still says 0, really would appreciated advice on how to get my g: partition.

I have a Xbox version 1.0, Xenium ICE OS 2.0.1, 200GB Seagate Barracuda. How I flash the bios is in the Xenium OS, I got my brothers 200GB too work on his Xbox (which is a ver. 1.6), but I can't get mine.

If anyone knows whats the issue here that woudl be great.

Thanks.

I have Xecuter 2 4983.67 and that has the G partition.

Anything that ends in .67 will have the 7th partition (G)...

I uploaded it along with a dummy file a long time ago so I know we have it in our VIP download section.

Thanks, but I've already tried the Bios from that cd pack as well, they didn't work, I'm I even flashing the bios properly? I FTP over the bios to my c:/bios on the Xbox, then I load up the Xenium OS, and I flash it in there, if thats right let me know?

I've used EVtool for the EvoX M8 and M8 Plus bioes, XBTool for X2 bioses, even older Bioses that has the LBA48.

Oh and another thing that might be important, the Xenium OS allows you to format hdd through it, and thats how I format the g: drive, if thats not the right way to format it let me know aswell.

Thanks for the help so far.

you got to be doing something wrong ,

all the bioses that end with .67 have the g partition enabled ,

after you flash the chip with the bios make sure you add it as a lunch item

if u just flush it and load other bios as your lunch item then it wouldnt matter

what bios you flashed with because you are still booting the bios that

isnt .67

After I flash the Bios I set the bios I just flashed to be the Default load item, and then I format the drive and then load up the bios and it still says 0 for g: partition.

Would it possible have something to do with my Xbox version being a 1.0?
like I only flash the Bios to my modchip, should it be flash to the TSOP or whatever, or do I not know what I'm talking about?

Your xbox version has nothing to do with how your HD partitions. It's all up to the bios to set those rules pretty much.

Here is how I partition my HD's. I don't bother using the Xenium tools, even though its nice to know they are there.

Firstly, with that version machine I would not be using the M8. Not that it won't work, I just would be using the Xecuter2 4983.67.

This is how I do all of my machines, maybe this will help you next time around, or maybe even this time.

First I chip the machine with my Xenium Ice mod chip.
Then, I boot the machine with the stock HD in.
When I get to the OS menu, the first thing I do is unlock the stock HD using the disk tools. Once it's unlocked I go into the network settings and configure the IP address that I want it to have and I change the Dynamic setting to Static. Then I restart the network.

I then FTP the HDD version of the 2.0.1 recovery.bin OS update to the E drive. Then I select the recovery from the Xenium OS Menu and let the OS Update to the newest version.

Once I am done there, I FTP the Xecuter2 4983.67 bios.bin file to the E drive or I use one of my Bios CD's that are already created. It just depends on what DVD Rom drive is in the xbox. Sometimes I just dont bother farting around with disks.

Once I am done with FTP'ing the bios.bin file over I go to the Launch Items menu and select Add Item. I select TSOP, and flash the retail kernel and select my LED color. Once done there, I select add item again and this time I select FLASH. Once I do that, the list of drives appears (C, E, X, Y, Z). I choose E and scroll down to bios.bin and select it. I name it Xecuter2 4983.67 and assign my LED color. When I am done I shut machine down and swap HD's.

I then grab my xbox-hq autoinstaller 1.3 final beta and insert it in the xbox dvd rom drive. At the Xenium OS menu I select The Xecuter2 bios and it will then boot up my installer disk. Then the first thing I do is , "Format Large HD". Once that is done, I select, Prepare Large HD (E+F+G).

From there I install the dashboards, the applications, lock the HD and the reboot. I know for a fact that the Xecuter2 4983.67 bios on this site will give you a G partition if you are doing everything correctly. I have personally used it, and I have personally uploaded it.

I have never used slayers, so I cannot speak for that AI.

I am sure you will get it going very soon. Feel free to ask us any other questions that you may run across.

Thanks for posting that, another question though, I already have tons of games installed on my F: partition, if I use an AI to format my HDD, will I have the option of just to format the G: partition, or will I have to format the whole HDD? cause I would like to keep all of my games I have right now.

And one thing I would like to let you know realmccloy, you know you M8_v16_LBA48_IGR_C067.bin BIOS you uploaded, thats the bios I used to get my brothers g: partition to show up, I flashed the bios, and formatted the g: partition the same way I am doing this with mine.

Maybe you could upload just an M8 bios for xbox 1.0's with the LBA48, and I could try that, cause it looks like your hacked bioses work great.
Or just email it to me that would be great too.
