I have just install the Xecuter 2.3B Lite+ on a 1.0 Xbox. It all looks good and really didn’t have any problems. Right now the chips LED’s all light up right (enabled\disabled). But when the chip is disabled I get the X-Box Splash and all looks good but right after I get a FRAG (Red/Green) and then get the “Your X-Box Required Service” screen but NO ERROR Code in the top corner??? If I enable the switch the X-Box starts the Cromwell bios screen and ejects the DVD tray so it can be flashed…. I haven’t taken the next step of flashing because I would like to fix the unit when the chip is disabled.

One last bit of info. I don’t know if it makes any difference but after the chip was installed I replaced the DVD and HDD from a new out of the box 1.6 unit. I acquired these (don’t ask how) but thought it would be good as the DVD drive I had kept giving me “dirty disk errors” even on new games. The HDD was just there so why not…. Don’t ask me to put the originals back because there gone (don’t ask).

Thanks for any help Rolling Eyes

Try unlocking the HD and then relocking to your current mobo.

Chances are, what may be happening is the HD was locked to the original mobo, thus not grabbing the MS Dash data. Typically, you get error 06 with this, but I've seen stranger things.

If you unlock the HD with the chip enabled, then relock it, it will now be locked to YOUR mobo.

Let me know if that helps.
