I used XBpartitioner to format a hard disk that already had been previously used in an Xbox.
After the format, when I ftp into the box, I see this:
Mar 30 1190:26 C
Mar 30 1190:26 E
Mar 30 1190:26 F
Mar 30 1190:26 X
Mar 30 1190:26 Y
Mar 30 1190:26 Z
These are the NAMES of the file systems, the name appears to include the Mar 30 1190:26 in the name.
When I ftp, if I want to look at one of these drives, I can't just double-click on them, I have to manually type something like 'F/' in the box in filezilla, or I get an error "Failed to retrieve directory listing"
It's very strange. It's as if when I log into the xbox via ftp that the top level file system names are not simple 'C\' or 'F\', yet they are there.
Can anyone please explain to me what's going on and if this is easy to correct without reformatting it from zero?

I would have used AID to format your drive or CHIMP to clone.
Check out the auto installer deluxe official site. I'm sure you will find the program very useful, DJB has done a fantastic job.
You think my problem comes from the formatting? I was hoping not to have to reformat it again, The whole box works fine aside from the slight inconvenience of having to explicitly cd to 'f/' upon ftp into the box.
I will try to rename one of the partitions like X to see if the problem goes away for that partition.

I would think a reformat would be the only option as well, because I have never heard of this error before. _________________
