You need to have an external switch installed so you can turn off the modchip.

Basically, you turn the chip in the off position while your xbox is turned off. Then you turn your xbox on and it boots in it's normal mode, no modchip. Only the MS bios and MS Dash will boot hence you can jump on xbox live and not get banned.

You need to find an install manual for your modchip. You can check our tutorials, but I am not sure what is there in the line of X2 chip installs.
