I have installed an advanced aladdin before and now i am trying to install an Aladdin Live plus on my friends box. I am not sure what version it is but it is new and looks much like my 1.6. I have heard that there is a 1.6b. This is the only reason that i think that it might not be working. I have installed it like a v 1.6 but it does not boot in chip mode ever. Do i need to flash it with a 1.6 bios? Thank you.

i dont know much about aladdin chips but make sure they can be installed
on 1.6 boxes ,

1.6 boxes need to have their lpc rebuilt ,

and yes you need bios for 1.6 ,

the only bios that i know of for that xbox is evox m8_16


i know xecuter has some new bios , but i heard it will only work with their chips , plus they are still having problems with their new chip ,

You can install the Aladdin Live on the 1.6 machines, but if I am not mistaken Aladdin was claiming that there were two versions of 1.6 xbox's....

You need to contact Aladdin for support for that chip. I gave up on trying to follow all the issues that came up with Flashing the Aladdins and installing them on 1.6 machines.

We have a special area that Aladdin posted to for support. Hopefully, he'll get back to you in a timely manner
