I have a Seagate hard drive that wont lock it says ata spec not support.

I have read on the charts and they say its lockable.Any ideas of how to lock it?

Series:Barracuda

Model:ST3160021A

Size:160 gig

Program: xboxhdm_v1.9

I dont know for sure but it sounds like you forgot the eeprom.

Yes I have did all of that. I even redid the cd last night to check to see if it works then i formated the drive and then rebuilt the drive and tryed to lock it and it goes like normal this drive does not support the ati spec

Might want to try configmagic or hdlock.

I am trying magic config but when I put the cd into the xbox it wont load I can open file explorer and see whats on the cd but when i click xbe. it wont load the program but i can copy it to the hd and load the program.

hdlock.exe

and the

hdunlock.exe

I searched google and and try xbins site.

The slayers disc has a hd lock tool on it might give that a try.
