Has anybody encountered this problem? is there a special setting in Alcohol that i'm missing. I have read many tutorials and followed them and I get the same Improper format error in DVD Decrypter , and Ultra Iso can someone help? I am trying to make DVD-R back-ups of my original games, to save the originals.

how big is the ISO file Qwix is creating?
what game are you backing up?
it sounds like the ISO image being burned (remember the ISO is compressed) is resulting in a game image larger than 4.7GB so it expects a DVD-R DL and not a DVD-R(hence the "invalid format")

I believe I have it figured out now. I think it is a media problem. I had 2 lite-on DVD-R's and the games burnt fine. I was trying to use memorex DVD-R's and I kept getting the error. Any suggestions on a recommended media? I don't have anymore lite-on DVD's.
