succesful soft mod using sid 4.5 nkave, now what? have aid4.01 fresh on desktop. ftp setup and ready. xbox v1.00. unleashx dash. what from aid do I ftp to where? cannnot press to disc, no capability. thx for all the hard work and help.

You can't FTP AID over, it must be on a disk. Once you get it to work off the disk, then you can copy aid to your HDD inside of AID itself. If you just FTP the files over, AID will not work because of how the config file is made. _________________

thx. then maybe with friends machine can press to cd. isn't there a less than 700mb aid core that will fit on one cd-rw? how do I do that?

What are you trying to do with AID? Install apps, emulaters, or a dashboard. If your trying to install apps or emulatrs, you can just FTP those over. _________________
excellent i thought so, thx. now what goes where? for ex: xbmc is what I really want, so what from the aid 4.01 package ftps where on the xbox? again, remember , evolutionx dash is already up from the sid 4.5 installer and aid4.01 is untouched.
ok what do you mean if upgraded hdd? it's stock 8gigs. why does hdd need to be upgraded if softmodded already? again it's ready to recieve ftp I just don't know what ftps where. there is no xbmc folder in aid4.01 that i can see, even after extracing the rare file, which i could presumably ftp over to e folder.

You can upgrade the hdd for more space. Right now i have an xbox with a 40 gig and a 300gig hdd. You might have to extract the iso with a program like craxion (availible in the downloads section) to get xbmc out of it. _________________
right but i don't need hdd upgraded to install aid or xbmc do i? it's already soft modded and running the evolutionx dash from sid 4.5 nkave, the full aid4.01 folder is sitting on my desktop, with the .rar file inside expanded to open the new folder and it's contents. I think i'm just an ftp away, but I still am not getting clear info on what from aid 4.01 to ftp where on the xbox to install applications.
Does your dash have options on it? I mean do you get any options on your dash when you boot up without a cd, like applications, play dvd, emulators and such?
